🎵 Maggie Rogers with Pharrell Williams
This video is internet archaeology at its finest. It’s 2016, and Maggie Rogers (then a student at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute) is showing her new song “Alaska” to Pharrell Williams during a masterclass. You can watch his genuine, real-time reaction as he realizes he’s hearing something special. The video later went viral and helped launch her career.
What gets me is the rawness of it.
No edits, no production layer. You can feel it was real.
This is why I love the internet as an archive of unfiltered moments. It reminds me of the early web, before everything became so curated and polished.

A 1,150 km walking trail in Japan with 88 temples along the way.
Considered one of the most beautiful pilgrimage routes in the world. This is going straight onto my bucket list.
Something about the combination of movement, contemplation, and the rural Japanese landscape just calls to me.

If you’ve heard of Balaji Srinivasan, you know he’s behind The Network School.
What caught my attention recently is the full curriculum he published 30+ books spanning history, tech, economy, crypto, startup societies, and self-improvement.
I’ve already started listening to the audio version of The Sovereign Individual.
Podcast I’m listening to this week
👂Brian Eno with Ezra Klein on Creativity and AI
Brian Eno is a legendary producer, the guy who literally coined the term “generative music” back in the ‘70s, talking about creativity as pure expression.
They discuss social media, creativity in the AI era, and the nature of making things. It’s a genuinely calming conversation.
In the interview, Ezra mentions he’s been listening to Cmon on repeat. After hearing it for the first time, I can’t stop either.
Also make sure to listen Music For Airports (released in 1978).
Tool I’m using often
You drop in audio, PDFs, text, YouTube links, JPEGs—basically anything—and it helps you learn from it.
The killer feature? It can generate an “audio overview” that’s essentially a podcast with two AI hosts discussing your documents. You can also create mind maps, quizzes, and flashcards. It’s another way to absorb information beyond just reading.
